Hi! I’m Kat!

Originally from central North Carolina, I am the daughter of a textile engineer and a textile chemist. I learned to sew very young, and after moving to Arizona and getting a degree in mechanical engineering, I returned to this nostalgic craft and fell in love again. I have been making my own clothing for about a decade now, and also love to make toys, blankets, and quilts for the children in my life.

Fiber work is nearly as ancient as humankind, and using my hands in this craft makes me feel connected to the thousands of artisans who have come before me.
